Complete Shroud Refinishing

The original shroud was in very poor shape. Some intelligent fool had attempted to repaint the shroud while it still sat on the engine in the engine bay! What a nightmare. Overall physical condition was reasonably good. There were a few breaks where holes were very close the edge that would need to be repaired.

Disassembly

Pop Rivet Removal

First, the metal deflector sheet needs to be removed from the fiberglass shroud. The sheet is held in place with 6 rivets that need to be drilled out. If done carefully, the holes will not have to be repaired.
